Weis Vineyards is located about halfway down on the eastern shore of Keuka Lake
Winner of NYS 2022 Winery of the Year.
In addition to Winery of the Year, Weis Vineyards also took home a Platinum medal and Best Pink Wine award for their 2021 Dry Rosé, along with the Best White Wine award for their 2020 Winzer Select Riesling A which received a Gold medal. They also took home Gold medals for their 2019 Merlot, 2021 Zweigelt Dry Rosé, 2017 Riesling Ice Wine, 2019 Riesling Ice Wine, 2020 Semi-Dry Riesling, and 2020 Dry Riesling.
In 2016, husband and wife team Hans Peter and Ashley Weis, decided to take the leap and start their own winery, opening up Weis Vineyards. The schoolhouse tasting room doors opened in 2017 and the first Weis Vineyards vintage was released. In four short years, they expanded their tasting room space, added new team members, increased distribution, and expanded their production facility.
By 2020 Weis Vineyards planted their first estate vineyard (Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Saperavi) while groundbreaking took place on a new tasting room and barrel room addition that opened in the spring of 2021. Today the Weis team continues to work diligently together to grow their dream while keeping their original vision in mind. Producing delicious wine meant for everyone to enjoy!
Events– Weis Happy Hour is an outdoor event (weather permitting) held during the Summer months. Live music, good food and of course wine and beer can be enjoyed in their outdoor seating area or bring your own lawn chair or blanket.
