Located on the Eastern side of Seneca Lake, about 4 minutes from downtown Hector, NY.
Established in 1991, Standing Stone Vineyards has been a working farm and vineyard since it was first settled in 1972. The estate is over 40 acres and currently has 8 varieties grown on the property which includes some of the oldest vinifera plantings in the region. One of the most notable varieties is the Georgian grape, Saperavi.
In the summer of 2017, the owners of Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard purchased Standing Stone Vineyards from Marti & Tom Macinski. Their goal is to continue the stewardship of the vineyards by continuing to implement low-intervention practices, both in the cellar and in their farming methods.
