Located on the east side of Seneca Lake in Hector, NY.
Established in 1985, Chateau LaFayette Reneau has won several Governor’s Cups, Jefferson Cups, and Gold from Riesling du Monde. Their 110 acre estate has beautiful ponds and gardens to enjoy during warmer months and a fully restored century-old barn that serves as their tasting room. They offer private picnic areas complete with Adirondack chairs, picnic blanket and cushions to relax on, snacks, A bottle ofchilled Pinot Noir Rosé, and a Chateau LaFayette Reneau wine glass for each guest as a keepsake.
Of the approximately 50 acres of vineyards planted, the majority is planted into Riesling and Chardonnay. Nearly 46 acres is planted with vinifera red grapes such as Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. All of our varietal wines are grown on our own property.
